Walker's Park

History
Walker's Park is a 17-acre site located at 400 Mountain Avenue between Gould Avenue and East Greenbrook Road.  The property was purchased by the Borough of North Caldwell from the Walker family after the passing of Woody and Carlee Walker.  The Borough offers passive recreational use of the site in keeping with the intentions of the Walker family.

Walker's Pond
The pond was restored and dredged to remove the vegetative growth that infiltrated the pond.  The pond is open for fishing and periodically stocked by the NJDEP.

Walker's Home
Future use of the Walker's family home is under consideration.  A Request for Expressions of Interest was solicited in January/February 2023 through which suggested uses will be evaluated by the Mayor and Council for potential implementation.  Proposed improvements can be viewed here.

Park Use
The park is open for passive recreation.  Event/Use permits can be obtained through the Recreation Department.  Future improvements are planned for the site in accordance with NJDEP regulations.  See exhibit.
